About Us

Looking up from Mirror Lake at large brown and white home with red Adirondack chairs out front and small dock

Interlaken has been our family home for more than 60 years.

Our family moved to Lake Placid from Keene in the 1960s. My father was a founding member of the Lake Placid Olympic Organizing Committee and a member of the successful 1974 Bid Committee. During preparation for the games, he was instrumental in procuring donated equipment from the John Deere company for construction of the venues.

The bicycle track was often used for fundraising events for The Lake Placid Sinfonietta and NYSEF (NY Ski Education Foundation) over the years.

About me

Born and raised in Lake Placid, the Adirondacks always leave me in awe. My favorite activities include hiking, swimming and skiing. I love spending time here with family and friends and introducing them to the many natural wonders that exist inside the gray line of The Adirondack Park.

I’m happy to answer any questions you might have about the house or Lake Placid. Yo hablo español también.

What makes Interlaken unique

The best part of our home is the setting on Mirror Lake and the porch is a favorite spot for enjoying the view. It's a treat, from quiet mornings to cocktail hour and candle-lit dinners.

Come stay!
